'Tis the season to be jolly, Canberra!
Because Canberra's very own Christmas shop, Under the Mistletoe, will be celebrating the most wonderful time of the year with a very special Christmas in July Festival Fundraiser, with funds raised for the Canberra Hospital Foundation. And you are invited to join in the festive fun!

Under the Mistletoe
Located in Gold Creek, Under the Mistletoe is the dream of Christmas-obsessed Jenny Brogan and her Canberran husband, Ben. Originally from England, Jenny grew up on a farm in Wales and remembers very fondly the snowy Christmases of her childhood. "I have never forgotten the magic of Christmas as I have grown up and I love how much joy Christmas can bring," she tells me. "I have grown my own collection at home over the years and usually put up 5 trees-this grows each year! I love designing my home with my Christmas décor and it brings me so much happiness. I always wanted to have a Christmas store so I could enjoy my passion with others and bring joy to the community."
Since it opened its festively wreathed doors a year ago, Under the Mistletoe has spread plenty of Christmas joy and goodwill to the Canberra community. And now they will be spreading even more Christmas joy with their first Christmas in July event!
"Christmas is our favorite time of year, so why not celebrate it twice?," Jenny says."Our vision is to create a Christmas in July wonderland where families and friends can come together to have fun, celebrate and feel festive whilst we raise money to give back to the community. We want this event to be something to have in the calendar every year and something to look forward to!"
Celebrate Christmas in July Festival Fundraiser
Under the Mistletoe invites you to their Christmas in July Festival Fundraiser! Taking place over two days, July 24 and July 25, there will be plenty of festive fun to keep you warm such as local community performances, yummy Christmas food and drinks, gingerbread decorating, fun games, outdoor activations of Christmas decorations and displays, a special visit from the famous Elsa from Frozen, a best-dressed competition, raffles, a visit from Hit 104.7, and a visit from someone even more famous, the great man himself, SANTA CLAUS!!!
Under the Mistletoe aims to raise $10 000 for the Canberra Hospital Foundation. For this event, they will be donating 20% of all sales to the Canberra Hospital Foundation. Participating vendors also donating a % of their sales to the Foundation.
But Under the Mistletoe is also donating 10% of all their sales throughout the month of July to the Canberra Hospital Foundation. They are also running a raffle in-store for the entire month with all proceeds from the tickets going to the Foundation.
So put on your Christmas sweaters and those Santa hats, Canberra! Let's celebrate the magic of Christmas in July with Under the Mistletoe and help raise money for a very worthy cause at the same time. It's the spirit of Christmas, after all!
